Refund policy
Introduction
Your purchase of any of the products offered on the Site (Products) is subject to this Refund Policy, our Shipping Policy and Terms of Services (together the Terms) and by placing an order for any Product you agree to be bound by them.
We reserve the right to change these Terms from time to time by changing them on the Site, although no such change will affect any order you have already placed with us. This Refund Policy was last updated on 9 July 2024.
Returns
We are happy to offer an exchange or refund within 14 days of delivery for non-bespoke Products. To be eligible for a return, your Product(s) must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To return your Product, please email us on shoppa@beataheuman.com for a return authorisation and we will issue you with the correct address to return your Products.
Bespoke Items
We do not offer returns or refunds for Products that have been personalized or made to your own bespoke specifications.
Please note that orders of our Fabrics and Wallpapers are cut to your desired length and are therefore a bespoke and non-returnable item. If you would like to receive a sample of one of our Fabrics or Wallpapers please email us on samples@beataheuman.com.
Items excluded from returns
In addition to bespoke items, please note the following cannot be returned for hygiene reasons: duvets, pillow cases and quilts.
Returns Shipping
You must return the Products to us within 14 days of the date of notifying us of the cancellation. You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the Product(s) while in your possession. If you fail to comply with this obligation, we may have a right to deduct the cost of any deterioration (due, for example, to your having used the Product(s)), up to the price of the Product(s), from the refund to which you are otherwise entitled.
You will be responsible for the cost and risk of returning the Product(s) to us and/or any new delivery charges for a requested exchange. These costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, these shipping charges will be deducted from your refund.
To return the Product(s), you should package the parcel securely making sure you include a note of your name and address (enclosing any returns slip, if we have provided one). All returns must be sent using a trackable, signed for service. Refunds will not be issued for items that cannot be proven as accepted or signed for by a member of the Beata Heuman Ltd team at an approved address. Please save your proof of posting/despatch and tracking information until your refund has been processed.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will process any refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 14 days after the day on which we receive the Product(s) back. We will refund the price paid in full subject to any deduction we are entitled to make due to your use of or damage to the Product(s)). However, (1) we will not refund the cost of returning the Product(s) to us or the cost of delivery; and (2) if no delivery cost was initially charged with the product we may deduct the cost of such initial delivery to you from the refund.
Refunds are made using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase, unless agreed otherwise.
Inspection of Products
Please open and inspect your Products within 24 hours of delivery. If you believe a Product was delivered damaged or faulty, you should inform us as soon as possible, preferably in writing, giving your name, address and order reference. If you fail to promptly inform us of any issues with your order this may result in you losing any remedy.
Product information
Whilst we have taken reasonable steps to depict Products as accurately as possible through the photographs and other images featured on the Site, the detailing (such as colour, pattern and texture, etc.) you see on-screen will depend on your monitor and, as such, may not exactly reflect the actual detailing of a Product when you receive it.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude our liability to you:
- for death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- for fraudulent misrepresentation;
- for breach of any term implied by the consumer rights law which may not be limited or excluded; or
- for any other liability that, by law, may not be limited or excluded.
Subject to this, if you are a consumer and not a business customer, in no event shall we be liable to you for any business losses, and if you are a business customer, in no event shall we be liable to you for any indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss of profit, revenue, contracts, data, goodwill or other similar losses, and any liability we do have for losses you suffer arising from any Contract shall not exceed the purchase price of the relevant Product(s) and is strictly limited to losses that were reasonably foreseeable. Losses are foreseeable where they could be contemplated by you and us at the time your order is accepted by us.
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under any Contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control.
