Summer Chintz

Summer Chintz is our attempt to bottle the feeling of Summer in the South of Sweden when everything is in bloom and the light refuses to fade. The pattern contains wild arrangements of roses, peonies and anemones interspersed with wheatsheaves in a nod to the farm where Beata grew up. The happy, saturated blue background has a subtle green undertone that feels fresh rather than cool. We use the fabric for drapery and upholstery and find its light but characterful pattern easy to place. It pairs beautifully with the Summer Chintz Wallpaper, which has a more spaced-out design and slightly larger scale designed to complement but not overwhelm.

The fabric is printed on a 100% cotton ground using rotary screens, giving a vivid depth to each colour and connecting it to chintzes from the days of yore.

All our fabrics have passed the Cigarette FR test, but for upholstery need to be used in combination with a suitable FR interliner or backing to meet relevant FR standards.
