Nettle Bone
Nettle Bone was inspired by a 16th century botanical print depicting the humble weed, which we re-imagined and transformed into a large, scrolling pattern. The fabric is screen printed in England using a bronze-green pigment on a cloth with a yellowy hue that gives it a rich, soothing warmth. The back cloth is an Irish linen that has been through four finishing processes to create a beautiful drape, soft handle and subtle sheen.
It works well for drapery and upholstery being both light and characterful. Nettle Bone’s relatively open weave makes it particularly striking when used in unlined curtains as it has an almost sheer quality when held up to the light and it would also look wonderful as a fabric walling.
