Linden Fancy Lining

Our house Fancy Lining is a simple, leafy stripe adding charm where plain fabric is usually expected. It was created primarily as a fancy lining for curtains and blinds and it works beautifully as upholstery lining, for example covering the inside of a storage bench. It can also be used for light upholstery.

The design is inspired by the avenue of Linden trees leading up to Beata's house on the family farm in Sweden. Each summer their helicopter seeds drift down through the air, and the pattern echoes these seeds arranged into a gentle leafy stripe. Its easy rhythm and botanical expression makes a scheme feel more considered by bringing life to an area that is often overlooked. 

Printed in England on 100% cotton, the fabric comes in a versatile dark neutral green. The Linden pattern is also available in a slightly larger scale as a wallpaper.
