Our Cross Lap collection has a certain rhythm and symmetry, offering storage that is somewhat concealed but also light. Named after the traditional Cross Lap joint used in the lattice door panels, the design allows the wood to work in both compression and tension - naturally countering movement over time and ensuring lasting stability.

The bulbous top, door frame and legs are crafted in solid quarter-sawn oak which is particularly sturdy and the cut shows off the wild medullary rays of the woodgrain. All fixings are solid unlacquered brass, including our signature Coin knobs and bespoke escutcheon plates, which will develop a beautiful patina with age.

Available here as a sideboard, the versatile Cross Lap design adapts wonderfully as a bookcase (as seen in our 188 Library), a wardrobe (as featured in Beata's home), or even a larder. Choose from adjustable shelves, hanging rails and drawers to suit your needs.
